DynoDrive Introduction:
DynoDrive is an advanced feature, exclusive to Alientech Suite and KESS3, which allows for calculating and verifying performance while driving a vehicle. Through the OBD diagnostic port and data acquisition from the integrated GPS module,
DynoDrive provides power and torque values of a car that can be exported and compared endlessly on your reserved area.
DynoDrive Highlights:
Activation through Alientech Suite
Calculation accuracy (GPS & x-Line)
Quick and customised parameter selection
Test repeatability
Data comparison and sharing
Strategic Positioning
DynoDrive allows dealers to test the vehicle on the road surface quickly and without additional costs for dedicated equipment. This experience makes it possible to verify the functioning of the vehicle and the goodness of any modification in a real road test. An important aid for workshops, not only to improve their work but also to certify and guarantee customer wishes with supporting values. The values returned after a road test with DynoDrive are to be considered real and reliable, but not comparable with a power test carried out on a chassis
dynamometer: lack of precision and accuracy when setting the parameters before the test could compromise the results.
The release of DynoDrive includes an update of the KESS3 versions.
Configure your KESS3 Master or Slave by adding DynoDrive activation, or get KESS3 hardware only with DynoDrive activation, thus configuring the tool even just to support power testing. This allows integrating a third version, KESS3 DynoDrive, alongside the existing KESS3 Master and KESS3 Slave versions.

Product Features:
Activation Through ALIENTECH SUITE
You can buy the DynoDrive application at any time, directly from Alientech Suite.
With a guided and intuitive process, you can activate DynoDrive and use the function immediately: simply select the vehicle on which the test will be performed, set the necessary data for the calculation, and launch the test.
Calculation Accuracy (GPS & x-Line)
The accuracy and repeatability of performance calculation are guaranteed by the pairing of the technology that KESS3 uses for communication with the vehicle (via OBD) and GPS acquisition.
Thanks to this system, DynoDrive allows for precise calculation of the vehicle's position throughout the test, recording both the acceleration and deceleration phases for precise calculation of the dissipated power as well.
Quick and Customized Parameter Selection
DynoDrive allows for customizing parameters to achieve calculation precision as close to reality as possible.
You can input vehicle data such as: vehicle and passengers’ mass (including any tools and luggage) and fuel level.
Additionally, you can choose how to conduct the test by setting the starting engine RPM (1500/2000 rpm) and the gear in which you wish to perform the test (3rd/4th), to make the best use of available space and work in complete safety. All power test operations must be carried out only on a closed circuit or on a road not open to the public.
Test Repeatability
With DynoDrive, you can repeat the test countless times, comparing the data from each individual test.
Despite atmospheric factors, such as external temperature, potentially influencing the test result, you can repeat the test under the same conditions, one after another.
This ensures the neutrality of the environmental factor: the data depend exclusively on the vehicle and on the performed test.

Data Comparison and Sharing
DynoDrive provides a downloadable and shareable report of torque and power data. At the end of the test, the Dashboard automatically stores the torque and power values. In addition to numerical data, DynoDrive provides Cartesian graphs that can be compared by overlaying them to easily discern and compare curve differences at a glance. The software allows for comparing up to 3 tests simultaneously. To facilitate consultation, different colors and styles have been assigned to the curves of individual tests.
But that's not all: the values along with the graphs recorded in Dashboard can be easily exported in a .PDF sheet, that can be shared with the customer to verify the effectiveness of the intervention or to meet their desires.
First-Use Guide
PHASE 1 DYNODRIVE Activation
Activate DynoDrive directly from AlientechSuite. A link will redirect you to the Dashboard to complete your purchase.
PHASE 2 Connection to Vehicle
Connect KESS3 to the vehicle via OBD and make sure that the internet connection is active, at least until the protocol allowing the test to be carried out on the vehicle is opened.
PHASE 3 Vehicle Selection
Choose your vehicle from the list on Alientech Suite. Then select the "Power Test" option.
PHASE 4 Feasibility Check
Press the "Feasibility Check" button before starting the test. If it is possible to proceed with the test, DynoDrive will return a positive message, otherwise it will be necessary to examine the conditions again with a second verification.
PHASE 5 Parameter Input
Enter the parameters with which to test as accurately as possible, especially the masses and the amount of fuel.
PHASE 6 Start Test
Press the 'Start Test' button and stay in the gear selected for the test. Press the space bar on the computer and wait for the acoustic signal while travelling at constant revs (previously set). Sink the accelerator to the limiter and then engage 'neutral'.
PHASE 7 End of Test and Results
Wait for the second beep during deceleration. At the end of the test, the data appear on the screen. If you are connected to a network, the results are historicised in Dashboard, otherwise they will be as soon as you connect to an internet network.
